Montenegro Chooses 4iG

Montenegro is pushing ahead with its digital modernization—and is relying on Hungarian technology to do so. The government has awarded the 4iG Group ICT projects worth more than 54 million euros, including the expansion of systems for law enforcement agencies and the construction of a modern data center.

The focus is on modernizing digital infrastructure in the public sector. The 4iG subsidiary 4iG Informatika is set to provide IT and telecommunications solutions for law enforcement—ranging from hardware and integration to training and support. In parallel, 4iG plans to build a Tier III data center that will process and secure key government data in the future.

The project is based on a bilateral agreement between Hungary and Montenegro and also signals growing technological cooperation in Southeast Europe. For Montenegro, the project represents an important step toward more efficient government agencies and a more robust digital infrastructure.

For 4iG, the contract marks a milestone: it is the company’s first major international government contract and strengthens its position as a regional provider in the IT and telecommunications sector. The group has been active in the country for several years and has, among other things, driven the expansion of 5G networks.

With this new project, 4iG further solidifies its role as a key technology partner for government digitalization programs in the region.
