This website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany, under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). When you visit the site, the web server processes your IP address, date and time, requested URL, data volume, referrer URL and user agent. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and stable operation). Log files are deleted after 14 days at the latest.
We count page views to understand which content is read. We store the requested path and the date. To count individual visitors, a daily-changing, truncated hash is formed from IP address and user agent; the IP address itself is not stored for this purpose. These hashes are deleted after 60 days. No cookies are set and no data is passed to third parties. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. You may object at any time (see section 8).
Fonts (Newsreader, Inter) are served from our own server. No connection to Google or other font providers is made.
If you subscribe, we process your email address to send you economic news on Russia three times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday). Legal basis: your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. We use double opt-in: after signing up you receive a confirmation email, and the subscription only becomes effective once you click the link. We store your email address, a confirmation token and the time of sign-up and confirmation. Unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted after 14 days.
The newsletter contains no tracking pixels and no personalised links; we do not measure opens or clicks. For delivery we use the following processor under Art. 28 GDPR: [name and address of the email service provider – to be completed].
You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future, via the unsubscribe link in each issue or by email. After unsubscribing, your address is kept only on a suppression list so that you receive no further newsletters (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); on request we delete it entirely.
Our articles link to third-party sources. When you click a link you leave our site; the respective operators are responsible for data processing there.
This site uses SSL/TLS encryption.
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object (Arts. 15–21 GDPR), and to withdraw consent at any time (Art. 7(3)). An email to the address above is sufficient. You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; the competent authority for us is the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg, Lautenschlagerstraße 20, 70173 Stuttgart, Germany.
Using the site does not require providing personal data; newsletter sign-up is voluntary. No automated decision-making or profiling takes place.
