Montenegro is pushing ahead with its digital modernization - and is relying on Hungarian technology to do so. The government has commissioned the 4iG Group with ICT projects worth more than 54 million euros, including the expansion of systems for security authorities and the construction of a modern data center.
The focus is on modernizing the digital infrastructure in the government sector. The 4iG subsidiary 4iG Informatika is to supply IT and telecommunications solutions for law enforcement - from hardware and integration to training and support. At the same time, 4iG is planning to build a Tier III data center to process and secure central government data in the future.
The project is based on a bilateral agreement between Hungary and Montenegro and is also a signal of growing technological cooperation in south-eastern Europe. For Montenegro, the project represents an important step towards more efficient authorities and a more powerful digital infrastructure.
For 4iG, the contract marks a milestone: it is the company's first major international government contract and strengthens its position as a regional provider in the IT and telecommunications sector. The Group has already been active in the country for several years and has driven forward the expansion of 5G networks, among other things.
With the new project, 4iG is moving further into the role of a central technology partner for government digitization programs in the region.
